If you’re in our smartwatch comparisons section, that means you’ve likely narrowed your smartwatch choices to two or three options.
While exciting, it’s also a bit nerve-wracking because given most cost over $300, it’s not a purchase you want to mess up. Sure, you can return most, but there’s the hassle factor which includes setting up, using it and then finding out after all that, it’s not the right one for you.
The best thing, and of course we always hope to achieve this when buying something, is to make the right choice the first time.
I hope I can help you make the right choice.
Not all options are right for all people. While I have my opinion as to the best smartwatch, my opinion likely varies from many other people. For example, I didn’t give the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier all that great of a review (I do love the Gear S3 Classic and Fit 2) because I think Samsung dropped the ball not making it more waterproof.
However, I’ve received tons of negative comments on YouTube, some fairly nasty, because I think the Frontier could be much better.
I strive to be objective as much as possible in my smartwatch comparisons, but my opinion, which is subjective, comes through too. Please keep this in mind.
Whenever possible, in my reviews and comparison write-ups, I qualify my conclusions by stating what I think a particular smartwatch is really good for. For example, while Fossil smartwatches use Android Wear, which isn’t my favorite smartwatch operating system, I do love Fossil smartwatches because they look great and so they’re a great option for an office work environment.
Which smartwatches do I compare?
I attempt to compare apples to apples as much as possible. For example, it doesn’t make sense to compare the Nixon Mission with a Fossil smartwatch. Both are intended for different uses. Instead, I choose relatively similar smartwatches and compare them because people seek out a smartwatch for specific uses.
